On Wednesday, May 1 a talented St. Sebastian's squad traveled to Concord, MA for a 3:30pm ISL showdown. Although both teams turned in noteworthy performance, it was the Arrows who took home the "W."
Sebs got on the board first with three goals in the first quarter. Sam Muse scored early in the second to spark our offense to four second Q goals thus putting us down by one as we went into half time.
The Arrows went up by two early in the third at which point our defense stiffened up and we scored three unanswered goals to go into the fourth period up, 7-6; unfortunately, we couldn't hold the lead. The visiting team scored five times and while we answered with two of our own in the last couple of minutes of the game, it was too little too late.
Although disappointed with the loss, the team played with tremendous athleticism and we look forward to returning to competition against Groton on Saturday, May 4 in Groton, MA at 3:15pm
