The boys' varsity lacrosse team took to the field on Saturday, April 27 ready to battle a talented Rivers squad. Coming off a big win against Lawrence, the team was looking to continue to improve upon the positive changes that they had been making since their loss to Thayer.

Middlesex came out of the blocks fast, controlling the faceoff x against a very good faceoff man from Rivers.  The combination of possession and hot shooting put us up 7-1 at the end of the first quarter. Rivers caught their stride in the second quarter however, and made the rest of the game very competitive with lots of good battles in the middle of the field in transition. 

Every member of the team turned in a solid performance but special kudos go out to Nick Bain who played a great game in net. 

The final tally on the afternoon was 13-5 and improves Middlesex's season record to (5-2). The boys return to action on Wednesday, May 1 when they host St. Sebastian's at 3:30pm.
