After a traumatic week in Boston, Middlesex faced the Tigers from Thayer Academy on our home field on Saturday, April 20. Middlesex knew it would take discipline and an entire team effort to earn the "W" after falling to Thayer for four consecutive seasons.

Buoyed with momentum from two straight wins, Middlesex, led by Maggie ’13, fought hard for every possession, ground ball, and draw control. Despite this, the Zebras were slow coming out of the gates with Thayer taking an early 4-1 lead. After a quick timeout to regroup however, the Zebras found their legs and took back possession and poise with the ball and were able to score four goals and conceding only one more to go into halftime even 5-5.

After a quick break, the Zebras dominated the second half, scoring six quick goals in the first 10:00 minutes to secure the lead. With a convincing 11-7 advantage, the Zebras never looked back, maintaining 12:00 minutes of possession against a fiercely determined Thayer defense. As the time on the clock wound down, the Zebras fought with pure grit and grace and for their efforts were rewarded with a 11-7 team victory!
