The boys' varsity lacrosse team fell to an athletic and skilled Nobles team 7-12 on a Saturday afternoon in Dedham, MA. 

Although we traded goals in the first half,  unfortunately every time we tied it, Nobles responded with a goal of their own. We ended the half up by one (5-4) and prepared for much of the same style of back-and-forth game in the second. 

In the second stanza we lost a little traction on defense, losing track of our men in the hole area and thus allowing Nobles some point blank shots on our goaltender. Sam Muse had another good day on offense with three goals while Sam Carlin battled well in the faceoff circle.  

Middlesex will undoubtedly use this early loss to motivate eachother to work a little harder, do the little things better, and go after our next opponent with more intensity.
