The Zebras traveled to Class A Phillips Exeter in a Friday evening game. And despite a short warmup, Middlesex came out sharp and ready to play.
Both teams played well in the first half, transferring the ball and using a small passing game. Each team took four shots, but the goalies stayed strong in their respective nets.
In the second half, the play continued to go back and forth, but at 13:34, the Zebras slipped the ball past the Exeter goalie due to determination and grit. Five minutes later, the Zebras scored a beautiful goal off a well-executed corner to take a 2-0 lead with 8:06 remaining. Middlesex held on to the win thanks to the inspiring play of Charlotte '15 and Maddie '14.
The team will enjoy a restful weekend as they enter the last week of regular season.
