The Zebras traveled to Cushing for their first of two non-league games this week. The squad shook off their bus legs and immediately pressured the Cushing defense with several opportunities in their offensive circle. Unfortunately the Zebras couldn't find the back of the net, but they narrowely missed several times with a shot off the post and several balls just going wide over the endline. Finally, Middlesex appeared to notch their first goal, but after a referee meeting, the goal was taken back due to corner mismanagement. Sparked by this disappointment, the Zebras came roaring back and C Mills '15 set up Cici with 2:28 remaining in the half.
The Zebras continued to dominate the play in the second half, and they scored again, but the third goal was taken back. And while the Zebras did not have their best game today, they still finished with a win and look forward to taking on Class A Exeter on Friday, Nov. 1st.
