Twenty-two girls took the field in Dedham, MA to compete in a well-established rivalry between Middlesex and Nobles on Friday, October 18.

 The Zebras came out prepared and awed the crowd by scoring just 3:00 into the contest off a play set up by Sage '17, Juliana '14 and Maddie '14.  Middlesex continued to put pressure on Nobles, but after the first 10 minutes, the game began to swing in Nobles' favor.  The home team pressured the Middlesex defensive unit and notched the equalizer after several opportunities. 

The teams took the field tied in the second half, but this time Nobles dominated and notched a goal seven minutes into the half off a corner.  In the remaining 20 minutes of play, the Zebras continued to battle and earned several penalty corners and scoring opportunities in the offensive circle.  However, the gritty Nobles defense turned away the pressure, denying the Zebras in a nail-biting final five minutes. 

Middlesex was handed their first loss of the season, but this will not break the spirits of this talented and hard-working team.  The group looks to rebound as they prepare for the next ISL match-up with Rivers on Wednesday, October 23rd.
