On Friday, October 11 the Zebras from Concord hit the road to take on the Zebras from Groton for a 2:00pm ISL showdown.

Middlesex had a difficult time adjusting to the grass surface in the first half, but the strong defensive unit of Emma '16, Jenna '15, Katie '16, and Charlotte '15 denied Groton a shot on goal in the first half.  Middlesex however, was able to take  seven shots and converted on two to take the lead going into halftime. 

The freshmen stepped up and played a terrific game in the second stanza. Caelin '17 notched a goal to take the 3-0 lead while Sage '17 and Brenna '17 controlled the midfield and Helen '17 made several offensive rushes up the wing.  Cece '17 turned away one shot with a swift clear from the goal.  And as the buzzer sounded, Jenna '15 scored her first career goal off an assist from Emma '16.

 Both teams played well and looked forward to heading into their long weekend after a terrific contest.  The Zebras are eager to get back to their turf surface as they prepare for their annual "Playing for Pink" game vs. Phillips Andover on Wednesday, October 16 at 3:15pm.
