As expected, Groton arrived with a very competitive squad, and although we got out of the blocks with two quick goals, a 3-minute stick penalty gave the visiting team a goal back.  Then with three seconds in the first quarter Groton scored again, making the tally 2-2 after one. 

Groton's goalie was very stingy in the second when we got a number of great scoring opportunities.  We went into halftime up 4-2.  In the third quarter we caught our stride and perhaps wore them down a little bit, scoring five unanswered goals and perhaps breaking their spirit a little. 

We had great play from all of our players up and down the field and finished this one 10-5.  Every game is huge for us as we currently have an 8-1 record going into the last few weeks of the season.
