The Middlesex boys' lacrosse team beat an athletic Nobles team on Saturday, 10-5. Through good possession time in the first quarter we wgot up 4-0, but Nobles battled back in the second to cut our lead to one, 4-3 at halftime.
MX regained its poise and outscored their opponents 4-1, making the score 8-4, going into the final period. The final score of 10-5 was testament to a great team effort. However, it is hard not to mention the outstanding play of our goaltender James '12 who more than once turned away a Nobles shot on the doorstep. Also, Sam '12 was a force in the faceoff and in transition, scooping up 14 groundballs. AJ '12 and Bryson '12 led our scoring with 3g/0a and 2g/3a respectively.
It was a great win for the program against a good team. However, this coming week our focus turns to Milton and Thayer who will also be very good.
