The Zebras had a sluggish start against a tenacious Rivers team. 

In the first 10 minutes of play, the ball was played in much of the Rivers' offensive end, but after a "regrouping" time out, the Zebras came back out ready to play their game.  The players began to connect with their Zebra signature passing game, and the team generated many scoring opportunities.  After several chances, Middlesex finally got on the board when Juliana Fiore scored her second goal of the season with 2:47 remaining in the half.

 In the second half, Middlesex continued to pepper the Rivers' goalie with shots and their intensity paid off as the Zebras put two more goals in the back of the cage.  The Zebras out shot the Red Wings 14-1 and finished with a decisive 3-0 victory.  The team will regroup and look to play a full 60 minutes of Middlesex field hockey on Saturday when they face ISL rival Thayer Academy.
