Will Franco enters his first year as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the Middlesex School in 2026-27.
Franco steps into the role at a pivotal time for Middlesex as the school prepares to open a 100,000-square-foot athletic facility this fall.
For the past five years, Franco has served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston College, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the strength and conditioning program for both the softball and nationally ranked baseball teams. Franco worked closely with coaches and sports medicine personnel to monitor student-athlete readiness and return-to-play protocols. In addition to those responsibilities, he managed the Pete Frates Weight Room, a 31,000-square-foot on campus facility for both the baseball and softball programs.
Prior to Boston College, Franco worked in the Baltimore Orioles organization with the Aberdeen IronBirds where he used sports science technology to assist with injury rehabilitation and player development.
Franco served as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Maryland where he worked with both the baseball and field hockey programs. He also has Division I experience at both Holy Cross and Merrimack College.
He also holds a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification, widely regarded as the gold standard in the industry.
A former club baseball student-athlete at the University of Massachusetts, Franco holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in exercise and sport science from Merrimack.
