Catherine brings a deep understanding of independent schools to her admissions work at Middlesex, having owned and operated Missoula Valley Montessori in Montana for 13 years. Prior to that venture, she was a lead primary teacher at Garden City Montessori for three years and previously taught at several New England schools, including Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich Academy, and Wooster School in Connecticut. A graduate of Hathaway Brown School, Catherine earned a B.A. in English at Middlebury College and an M.Ed. in elementary school counseling at UMass Amherst. She is already well-acquainted with Middlesex, as her husband Jim ’85 – a 2004 inductee to the School’s Athletic Hall of Fame – and his brother Walt ’73 are both graduates. Catherine and Jim live in Westford; they have three children, two of whom are settled in Montana and one who attends San Diego State University. Â
