Ken graduated from Stoughton High School after earning multiple All-League and All-Scholastic awards as a varsity soccer, basketball and track athlete, and then went on to play soccer and run indoor and outdoor track at Brandeis University, while earning a degree in History. He then earned a Masters degree in History at Northeastern University while working as a processing archivist in the university library and serving as an assistant coach for the Div. I Northeastern Men's soccer team. In the meantime, Ken signed professionally for the Cape Cod Crusaders in the USL Pro-League and was a starting center back for five seasons with the Crusaders as well as the Worcester Wildfire in the A-League. He then began his history teaching career in private schools, spending three years teaching and coaching at Hilton Head Preparatory School in South Carolina, six years at Episcopal High School, in Alexandria, VA and has since served as a history teacher and the head coach of the boys’ soccer program at Middlesex.Â
As a coach, Ken has been recognized as the South Carolina Independent School Association Coach of the Year, returned as a player-assistant coach to help the Cape Cod Crusaders win the PDL (now USL-2) National Championship and was named as the New England Prep School Boys' Soccer Coach of the Year by the New England Soccer Journal for winning ISL and NEPSAC championships while leading Middlesex to an undefeated season and a 34-match unbeaten streak against ISL opposition. He was also recognized in the history classroom as Teacher of the Year for the city of Alexandria, VA. Ken continues to teach history and serves as the head coach for the boys' soccer program at Middlesex. He currently lives on campus with his wife, Courtney, their son, Tommy, and their daughter, Campbell.
