Now in her eleventh year at Middlesex, Emily Teevens has led the girls cross country program to incredible heights. They have laid claim to three of the last four Independent School League (ISL) Championships (2021, 2022 ans 2024) as well as back-to-back and three of the last four New England Championships (2021, 2023 and 2024).
A decorated runner in her own right, Teevens was a two-year captain of cross country and track and field teams at Georgetown. During her collegiate career as a Hoya, she was named an All-American after a 29th place performance at the 2010 NCAA Championships and then finished 54th in 2011 when Georgetown won the national championship.
In addition to her cross country exploits, Teevens had a slew of top ten individual performances at the BIG EAST indoor and outdoor track and field championships throughout her career, including a 2011 BIG EAST Championship in the 5,000 meters.
Her prep career at nearby Bromfield School featured a cross country state championship in 2006, a New England Indoor championship in the two-mile, a Footlocker cross country northeast region championship as well as a 13th place finish at the national championship to earn All-America honors.
A 2011 Georgetown graduate with degrees in English and Psychology, Teevens teaches in the English department.
