Steven began his career as a research technician at Tufts University, spending five years in the lab alongside prominent academic researchers and co-authoring three published papers. Wanting to share his passion for environmental and life sciences more broadly, he transferred his skills three years ago to teaching biology and chemistry at Lowell High School, where he also served as the faculty advisor to the Gay-Straight Alliance. Steven holds a B.S. in pre-professional biology, with a minor in chemistry, from Appalachian State University and just completed an M.S. in biological science at UMass Lowell.Â
