Q: Are you a boarder or day student?
A: I am a boarder.
Q: At what age did you start your sport?
A: I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals? Pre-game meal?
A: I go to the locker room as soon as possible to get my jersey on, even if it is a couple of hours early, and I like to listen to music. At the game as a team, we do not enter the field until everyone is ready and we run to the corner where we warm-up. And right before the game, I touch both my posts and the crossbar. I don't have any specific meals I eat before games.
Q: Tell us about your goals for your MX team this season.
A: We want to be as competitive as possible, make the tournament, and win the ISL. We also wish to be as interconnected as possible and have a great team culture.
Q: Besides athletics, what are some of the other activities with which you are involved at
Middlesex?
A: I am in Youth In Philanthropy, I am a proctor, a DEI officer, and I am a part of many clubs.
Q: What is your most memorable moment as a Middlesex Zebra?
A: When we played Belmont Hill at home and we won 3-0, and towards the end of the game, I saved a penalty which was a great personal moment and on top of that, the team put on a dominating performance.
Q: What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself?
A: I am hardworking, focused, and passionate
Q: How do you think your teammates would describe you?
A: My teammates would describe me as driven, caring, and approachable.
Q: Whom do you most admire and why?
A: I admire my mom because she is a role model for me. She is hardworking and very caring, but she is also strict and has instilled values in me that have shaped me into the person I am today.
Q: What is the best advice that you have received from a member of the Middlesex community?
A: My advisor Doug Worthen and I talk a lot about self-expectation and goals, and he gave me great advice which was to set your bar high and work as hard as you can because even if you don’t reach your goal or expectation, you still did exceptionally well.
Q: If you could meet anyone (past or present) who would it be and why?
A: I would want to meet Marcus Rashford because he is not only an exceptional athlete and soccer player, but he attempts to use his platform to make a genuine change in his community. Outside of soccer, he works to help fight food insecurity for children at school and when they are at home.
Q: Can you tell us something about yourself that most people don't know?
A: I have a brother, technically a host brother, from Ghana, who came to live with us when my eldest brother was in high school, and he has lived with us ever since for the last 8-9 years.
Q: What is your favorite spot on campus?
A: I really like to go on woods walks in the fall and spring, I love the turf in the spring when we go up early in the morning and the pond.
Q: What advice would you give to a new student at Middlesex?
A: Some advice I would give to a new student would be don’t hold back, dive into the Middlesex experience and put all of yourself into it.
