CONCORD, Mass. - The Zebras welcomed the St. George's Dragons for the second meeting of the season, renewing a Middlesex–St. George's rivalry that has stretched across several decades. Battling through high temperatures, both teams started cautiously before the Zebras found their rhythm late in the opening quarter before posting a 12-10 triumph.
Addie Curry (Carlisle, Mass.) broke the scoreless tension with 6:55 remaining in the first quarter, giving the Zebras the early edge. The Dragons responded just a minute later, but the Zebras quickly took control. Curry ignited a scoring run that saw Ryan Pinney (Harvard, Mass.) finish off a strong offensive sequence from Thea Salem (Cambridge, Mass.), while Marin Gustafson (Wellesley, Mass.) added back-to-back goals off a drive and feed from Pinney to close out the quarter with momentum firmly on the Zebras' side.
The offense stayed sharp in the second quarter as Curry added another goal, and Salem once again connected with Pinney for the team's sixth score of the afternoon.
The Zebras dominated the third quarter at both ends of the field. Pinney opened the frame with another goal before Bella Santucci (Leominster, Mass.) converted on an assist from Gustafson. Molly Kearney (Lexington, Mass.) added to the surge on a beautiful free position, and Curry capped the quarter with a finish off a feed from Santucci as the Zebras continued to pull away.
Defensively, the Zebras turned in one of their strongest performances of the season. Goalie Olivia Lynch (East Greenwich, R.I.) anchored the unit with 11 saves and an impressive 52.4% save percentage. In front of Lynch, Avery Swenson (Concord, Mass.), Lucy McGaraghan (Lexington, Mass.), Sarah Smith (Acton, Mass.), and the relentless Voute sisters (Sarah and Emma) fueled the defensive effort with several caused turnovers and successful clears up the field. Presley Bruno (Andover, Mass.), Burke Hastings (Wellesley, Mass.), and Tessa Rusconi (Concord, Mass.) rounded out the outstanding defensive play.
On the offensive end, Annika McNulty (Houston, Texas), Olivia Crawford (Stow, Mass,), and Maisie Martinez (Concord, Mass.) added valuable depth and energy throughout the contest.
Overall, it was a terrific final game for the Zebras, with contributions coming from every corner of the roster. The performance highlighted just how much the team grew and developed over the course of the 2026 season.
