GROTON, Mass. - The Middlesex girls track and field team prepped for the upcoming ISL Championships with a tri-meet hosted by Groton that also featured Lawrence Academy.
Four different individuals won events and the 4x400 relay squad also finished first in their event.
Stella Curwin-Amfitheatrof (Bridgewater, Conn.) churned out a season-best performance in the 1500 meter (5:04.89) and then finished second in the 3000 (11:26.52) behind teammate
Jude Hebb (Princeton, Mass.), who posted a career best (11:13.80).
Meanwhile,
Cassidy Bruno (Andover, Mass.) was first in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:24.25.Â
Grace-Ann Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica), the state leader in the high jump, won the event again with a leap of 5-2 and finished second in the 100 meter (13.03).
Finally, the foursome of
Nadia Abdinoor (Lexington, Mass.), Bruno, Hebb and Curwin-Amfitheatrof cruised to a win in the 4x400 with a time of 4:32.90.
