GROTON, Mass. - The Middlesex boys tennis team powered their way to their seventh straight victory courtesy of a 5-2 win over Groton on Saturday afternoon.
At 11-2 overall, the Zebras are 8-2 in ISL competition with five league matches remaining on their schedule.
Declan Power (Concord, Mass.) and the emerging Freddy Murphy (London, England) teamed up at No. 2 doubles to register an 8-4 win, while Lach McCaghren (Lincoln, Mass.) and Luke Felago (Duxbury, Mass.) collected an 8-2 win at No. 1.
Singles action saw McCaghren at No. 1 (6-0, 6-1), Power at No. 2 (6-1, 6-4) and Calvin Sun (Repulse Bay, Hong Kong) at No. 6 (6-3, 6-1) all record straight set victories.
Middlesex will now turn its attention to Roxbury Latin for their ISL matchup slated for Tuesday afternoon.
