BYFIELD, Mass. - For the third week in a row Aidan Canty-Whitt (Concord, Mass.) broke his own school record in the discus and Middlesex finished fifth at the NEPSTA Division II Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at The Governor's Academy.

Canty-Whitt pushed his new school record by nearly two feet to 139-6 helping the Zebras collect 47 team points.

Noble and Greenough (76) won the overall team championship, while Roxbury Latin (66), Thayer Academy (65) and Williston Northampton (62) rounded out the top five.

Canty-Whitt's throw was good enough for second place, while classmate Josh Richards (Worcester, Mass.) finished fifth (118-8) and then turned in a second-place effort in the shot put (48-1.50).

Brendan McCullen (Acton, Mass.), who finished sixth at this event a year ago, grabbed the title this year with a leap of 6-4 - outdistancing the next finisher by four full inches.

Other standouts in the field events included Orion Saunders (Westford, Mass.) who was second in the triple jump (42-8) and fourth in the long jump (21-5.25). Caelen Meade (Bronx, N.Y.) was sixth in the discus (118-0) and Caleb Mitchell (Sudbury, Mass.) finished seventh in the javelin (128-6).

On the track, Tyler Martinez (Concord, Mass.) was third in the 800 meter run, posting a time of 1:58.42.
