BRAINTREE, Mass. - For the fourth meet in a row,
Grace-Ann Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica) won both the high jump and the 100 meter sprint and Middlesex continues to trend in the right direction following Wednesday's meet at Thayer Academy.
The Zebras finished second (31) behind the host Tigers (131.5) and ahead of Rivers (28.5).
Bailey won the 100 with a career-best time of 12.89 and then she (5-2) and
Perry Manekas (Winchester, Mass.) went first and second in the high jump after Manekas turned in a 4-6 performance.
Stella Curwin-Amfitheatrof (Bridgewater, Conn.) cruised to a victory in the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:12.54, while teammate
Jude Hebb (Princeton, Mass.) was third with a season-best time of 5:15.93.
Cassidy Bruno (Andover, Mass.) finished second in the 800 with a season best time of 2:25.41 and then helped the 4x400 relay squad that included Hebb,
Kate Tantillo (Concord, Mass.) and
Nadia Abdinoor (Lexington, Mass.) to a second place finish (4:23.97).
Middlesex is back in action on Saturday when they head to Groton for a meeting with the host Zebras and Lawrence Academy.
