ANDOVER, Mass. - Middlesex bounced back from a marathon match on Friday afternoon to claim a 6-2 win over Phillips Andover in non-league girls tennis action on Monday afternoon at Rockwell Tennis Courts.
Zoe Le (Greenwich, Conn.) and
Emily Francini (Concord, Mass.) teamed up at No. 1 singles to chop down the Big Blue tandem of Doris Lu and Manalee Chowdhury, 7-2, 7-2.Â
Middlesex completed the sweep of the doubles matches with
Katie Le (Greenwich, Conn.) and
Scout Olney (Duxbury, Mass.) breezed past Samantha Hale and Gia Estrada, 8-0 at No. 2.
The Zebras then went on to win four of the six singles matches, highlighted by
Annie Vanderwarker (Bronxville, N.Y.) besting Anna Lu, 8-0 at No 6 and
Luisa Ferrari (Winchester, Mass.) getting an 8-4 win at No. 5 over Camille Davis.
Other singles wins included Francini winning 8-2 at No. 4 over Gemma Park and
Zoe Le posting an 8-1 victory at No. 1 over Kristen Ma.
Now 5-4 on the season, Middlesex is off until Saturday when they host Groton at 2:30 PM.
