GROTON, Mass. - Visiting Middlesex won its third straight match, rolling past ISL rival Lawrence Academy, 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The win for the Zebras is their second in the last 24 hours following Tuesday's win over Rivers and pushes their overall record to 7-2.
Middlesex breezed through doubles action with the No. 1 tandem of Lach McCaghren (Lincoln, Mass.) and Luke Felago (Duxbury, Mass.) and the No. 3 duo of Declan Power (Concord, Mass.) and Freddy Murphy (London, England) both registering 8-0 wins. Meanwhile, the No. 3 squad of Drake Gallien (Bangkok, Thailand) and Calvin Sun (Repulse Bay, Hong Kong) also had an easy time, taking their match, 8-1.
Singles action was much of the same with McCaghren (No. 1), Power (No. 2) and Milo Schubnel (Concord, Mass.) all posting 6-0, 6-0 triumphs.
George Thornton (New York, N.Y.), playing No. 6, faced little resistance (6-2, 6-0) and the same went for Felago at No. 3, where he rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win.
Middlesex will be back in action on Friday when they play host to MIAA powerhouse, Saint John's Prep.
