BRAINTREE, Mass. - Visiting Middlesex snapped their brief two match losing streak with a key 5-2 road victory over Thayer Academy on Saturday afternoon in ISL boys tennis action.
The win for the Zebras pushes their record to 5-2 overall.
Middlesex came out of the gates blazing, winning all three doubles matches in convincing fashion, highlighted by 8-0 wins by Lach McCaghren (Lincoln, Mass.) and Luke Felago (Duxbury, Mass.) at No. 1 and Declan Power (Concord, Mass.) and Calvin Sun (Repulse Bay, Hong Kong) at No. 2.
McCaghren had little trouble at No. 1 singles, topping George Moore, 6-0, 6-0, while Power produced the same result at No. 2.
Clement Chang (Arlington, Mass.), meanwhile won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5, while JJ Zhang (Dubai, UAE) posted the same score in a win at No. 6.
The Zebras are back in action on Tuesday for a meeting with Rivers.
