MILTON, Mass. - Visiting Middlesex powered post Milton Academy, 6-3 in ISL girls tennis action on Wednesday afternoon at the North Tennis Courts.
The day began with a doubles sweep starting at No. 1 where
Zoe Le (Greenwich, Conn.) and
Katie Le (Greenwich, Conn.) toppled Amelia Joseph and Charlotte Weinstein, 8-3.Â
Sophia Shiatis (Cambridge, Mass.) and
Scout Olney (Duxbury, Mass.) posted an 8-3 win as well at No. 2, while
Emily Francini (Concord, Mass.) and
Annie Vanderwarker (Bronxville, N.Y.) got past Vennie Xiao and Mariette Forney, 8-4 at No. 3.
Zoe Le (No. 1) and
Katie Le (No. 2) kicked off singles action with wins over Joseph (8-6) and Weinstein (8-2) and then Olney collected a hard-fought 9-7 win over Isha Singh at No. 4.
Winners of three straight, the Zebras will host Thayer on Saturday at 2:30 PM.
