Belmont, Mass. - Highlighted by a pair of first-place finishes from Grace-Ann Bailey (Kingston, Jamaica), the Middlesex girls track and field team opened up their 2026 season in a tri-meet against Noble and Greenough and Thayer Academy.

Bailey set a new school record with a high jump of 5-7 with her closest competitor - Thayer's Alyssa Durant - clearing 5-0, while Perry Manekas (Winchester, Mass.) was third at 4-8.

On the track, Bailey also shined, turning in a first place effort in the 100 meter dash (13.16).

That was followed by Cassidy Bruno (Andover, Mass.) and Nadia Abdinoor (Lexington, Mass.) finishing first and second in the 800-meter run, while Stella Curwin-Amfitheatrof (Bridgewater, Conn.) and Jude Hebb (Princeton, Mass.), finished second and third in the 1500 meter run.
