CONCORD, Mass. - Playing in their final home match of the season, the Middlesex girls varsity squash team cemented a banner campaign with a 7-0 sweep of ISL rival Tabor on Friday evening.
The victory for the hosts pushed their record to 12-3 overall - their best since an 11-2 record more than two decades ago (2001).
This season had a bevy of impactful contributors, including No. 1 Anjali Mehta (Wayland, Mass.), who posted an undefeated record (12-0) and No. 2
Stella Gu (Beijing, China). Gu, just a freshman, went 11-3 overall, while
Claire Ryu (Marlboro, Mass.) tallied an 11-4 ledger at the No. 3 spot.
At No. 4, Mia Nolin (Palm Beach, Fla.), racked up an 11-2 record, while No. 5
Zoe Le (Greenwich, Conn.) totaled a 10-5 season.Â
The bottom of the ladder proved to be strong as well with No. 6 Katie Le (Greenwich, Conn.) and No. 7
Hadley Riordan (Needham, Mass.), going a combined 19-11.
Middlesex now turns its attention to the US High School Team Championships in Philadelphia beginning on Friday, February 20.
