The Middlesex Boys Varsity Tennis defended their home courts by sweeping rival Rivers at on Friday afternoon. Although Rivers has won multiple Class C titles in recent years, the Zebras were too much for their squad. All three doubles pairings of junior Lach McCaghren and senior co-captain Hudson Hinckley, juniors Luke Felago and Fred Murphy, and sophomores Declan Power and Tim Zhao beat their opponents decisively to win the important doubles point and set the tone. Middlesex capitalized on its fast start to pounce on the Red Wings in singles, winning the first set in all six matches. There were some solid back and forth matches, but Middlesex dug deep where necessary to sweep all the contests and earn a decisive 7-0 victory. The rest of the ISL has been served notice about the strength of Middlesex's squad, as the team chalked up its 6th victory of the season.
