Middlesex traveled to Milton for yet another away game on Patriots' Day. Even though the Zebras were out of their typical game day routine, they came out strong in the first quarter, taking a quick 2 goal lead. The Mustangs notched their first tally with 51 second remaining in the first quarter. The second quarter was a defensive battle with both units turning away scoring opportunities. Both teams notched just one goal giving Middlesex a 3-2 lead at the half. The Mustangs capitalized in the third to take a 4-3 lead and were able to seal the win with a tally at the 3 minute mark. The Zebras refused to let up when Cate Glass fired a shot from 8 meters to finish the score at 4-6. The defensive unit was excellent today anchored by goalie Erin Larson, who had 8 saves on the day and Finley Crosby and Avery Swenson, who combined for several ground balls and caused turnovers.Â
