The Zebras traveled to St. Mark's on a Friday night to face St. Mark's in an evening battle. Middlesex jumped up in front by taking a three goal lead in the first quarter with solid goal-scoring opportunities. The defense played terrific, stopping the St. Mark's drives and converting transitions in the midfield. The second quarter was a defensive battle but both teams struck within three minutes, sending the Zebras into the second half with a 4-1 lead. The third quarter went back and forth on possession, but St. Mark's brought the score to within 2 goals at the 1:08 mark, but Cate Glass scored with 23 seconds remaining to maintain the two goal lead. St. Mark's tied the game with nine minutes remaining, but the poised Zebras stiffened in the defense and notched two goals to keep the lead. St. Mark's stayed in the game tallying a goal with 58 seconds remaining and then attempted to tie it in the remaining seconds. Goalie Erin Larson made a game-winning save on a free position to seal the win for the Zebras. The team will travel to Milton on Monday.
