The Zebras traveled to the other Zebras today and came out strong in the first half with several defensive stops and good attack ball movement. At the half, Groton led 4-2, but Middlesex was determined to come back. Unfortunately, Groton continued to gain possession and stymied the Middlesex team in the third quarter, much in part to cards that forced Middlesex to defend 7 v 6. Groton went on a run and took a significant lead in a short span when Middlesex was on their heels. However, the Middlesex Zebras came back fighting in the fourth quarter, winning the quarter 3-2 thanks to Finley Crosby on the draw and in the offense. Both Erin Larson and Lev Lynch had stops in the game for Middlesex.Â
