The Zebras came out ready to play as unforeseen situations postponed their midweek game. Opening the ISL season with powerhouse Nobles is daunting, but the young and mighty Middlesex crew came out with a vengeance. The defense gave up a hard-earned Nobles goal at 10:26, but then held the dogs off for nearly 7 minutes with tremendous defensive stops. Nobles went on a run in the last three minutes taking a four goal lead at the half .The Zebras struck first in the second quarter and the defense continued to stiffen against the potent Nobles attack. In the third quarter, the Zebras again notched the first goal, and gave up three, and in the fourth, Middlesex notched two goals to Nobles' three. While the Zebras did not win the game, they played valiant lacrosse, never gave up, and improved significantly throughout the game. The defense was led by sophomore Thea Salem, who had two caused turnovers and seniors Finley Crosby, Sophie Watson, and Aiden Bell, who added to both the offensive and defensive ends, respectively. Erin Larson and Lev Lynch split time in the cage and both made strong saves on point blank shots. The Zebras are looking forward to a three-game ISL week.
