The Middlesex Boys Varsity Tennis team lost a tough match to the talented Noble and Greenough squad on Saturday. The cold and rain forced the match to be played at the Middlesex indoor courts in front of the largest crowd of the season. The boys played challenging doubles matches with juniors Lach McCaghren and Fred Murphy at #1 losing a tight match 4-8, and Hudson Hinckley and Luke Felago going down 5-8, enabling Nobles to secure the doubles point. The powerful Nobles team won 5 of the 6 singles matches, with Felgao winning and McCaghren losing in a tie break in a see saw match. The boys showed grit in taking on one of the ISL's best and will come away from the match as a stronger squad. The relentless schedule continues with the team taking on Thayer home on Monday and Milton away on Wednesday.Â
