Middlesex hosted Cushing Academy in an important Class B matchup. The Penguins came out strong, and even though MX was getting some good looks, the shots just weren't falling, and the Zebras found themselves down by 8 going into halftime. Middlesex showed tenacity and toughness, coming out strong defensively in the third quarter, holding Cushing to just two points, while also surging offensively on the heels of two key 3-pointers by sophomore Carsen Hill. Seniors Julia Blum and Alyssa Aslam were all over Cushing's shooters, and freshmen Rebecca Fusco and Cady White grabbed key rebounds for second-chance points to give Middlesex the lead going into the fourth. Cushing made a final push, but Middlesex showed poise and grit, once again leaning on Hill, who went 4-for-4 at the line to secure the victory. Middlesex is 13-7 heading into the final three games of the regular season.
