BXC Wraps Up Regular Season, Preps For Championships

Concord, Mass. - Powered by a second place finish by Sebastien Aubourg (Brooklyn, N.Y.), the host Middlesex boys cross country team finished second in their home quad meet on a perfect fall Saturday of Family Weekend.

Aubourg's time of 17:45.10 was the 12th fastest time in school history on the Middlesex course and led a contingent of nine Zebra runners who finished in the top 20.

Freshman Chase Phillips (Concord, Mass.) continued to shine during his freshman campaign, notching a tenth place effort in a time of 18:59.70, while classmate Jovic Stachelski (Winchester, Mass.) was next up in 11th place in 19:12.

Team captain Terry Qi (Sudbury, Mass.) was next to cross the finish line in 12th place (19:16.10), while Daghan Konur (East Northport, N.Y.) and Henry Orraca-Cecil (Sherborn, Mass.) rounded out the top 15 in 14th and 15th places, respectively.

Julian Barber (Concord, Mass.) wrapped up the course layout in 19:59.50. Good for 16th place, while Dylan Fu (Lexington, Mass.) completed the race in 17th place (20:11.70).

The next two weekends are championship weekends for the Zebras beginning with the ISL Championship on Friday, October 31 at the Wrentham Developmental Center at 2:30 PM. Then the following week on Saturday, November 8 they will take part in the NEPSAC Division II Championship at Williston Northampton.
