CONCORD, Mass. - Spurred by a record-setting performance, the Middlesex girls cross country team wrapped up their 2025 regular season undefeated by literally sprinting past a trio of ISL opponents on their home course on Saturday.

With Family Weekend as a backdrop, the host Zebras had three of the top four finishers and six of the top ten overall on their way to wins over The Governor's Academy (22-36), Saint Mark's (15-50) and Tabor Academy (16-47).

The weekend sweep puts Middlesex's record at 11-0 heading into the two championship events that will take place over the next two weekends.

In Saturday's event, Stella Curwin-Amfitheatrof (Bridgewater, Conn.) blazed through the course on her way to a new school course record in a time of 19:18.60. The previous record holder is Curwin-Amfitheatrof's classmate and teammate, Cate Corbett (Harvard, Mass.), who set her mark on September 23, 2023.

Freshman sensation Jude Hebb (Princeton, Mass.) finished second overall in a time of 20:15.80, while Cassidy Bruno (Andover, Mass.) completed the layout in 20:20.40, good for fourth place.

The next batch of Zebras consisted of Anika Ata (Carlisle, Mass.) in sixth place (21:15.40), the aforementioned Corbett in ninth place (21:49.30) and Angela Huffer (Juneau, Alaska) in tenth (22:08.40).

Kate Tantillo (Concord, Mass.) was next to cross the finish line for Middlesex, churning out a time of 22:27.0 and securing 12th place, while Pipsa Palatsi (Oulu, Finland) finished 15th, wrapping up the course in 23:12.80.

A foursome of Middlesex harriers finished in a pack in spots 17 (Allison Luo), 18 (Scarlett Gustafson), 19 (Marvelous Ugwu) and 20 (Caroline Stilwell). Luo (Westford, Mass.) ended with a time of 23:28.70, while Gustafson (Winchester, Mass.) had a time of 23:39.80 and Ugwu (Hyde Park, Mass.) clocked in at 23:40.40 and Stilwell (Winchester, Mass.) was right on her heels at 23:40.70.

Championship season kicks off in earnest on Friday, October 31 at the Wrentham Developmental Center with the ISL Championship. The girls race is slated for 1:45 PM.
