The Zebras took the field hesitantly after facing an unusual set of season-ending injuries on the Friday and Saturday before. Without a practice to pivot, the Zebras came out in new positions and with heavy hearts as they watched their beloved teammates watch from the sidelines. While this was not our best game of lacrosse, it was our best game as a team simply because we showed up. The courageous Middlesex team came to play and banded together to do the best they could. Every player stepped into the game and played new positions and continued to fight until the final whistle. Every defensive player got playing time today, some stepping foot in a varsity game for the first time, including sophomore Alex Hood who in her debut varsity minutes came up with a ground ball, draw control, and successful transition. Underclassmen Cate Glass, Ellie Bracken, and Addie Curry notched goals for the Zebras.
