After team time on Tuesday, the Zebras first time to be together for a practice, the team came out with more confidence today. The first half took some adjusting as the team continued to be shaken from the previous days. Falling 9-2 at the half, the team set more focused team goals for the second half. The team won the ground ball battle with seniors Katie Athanasoulas and Siena Berardinelli combining for 11 and ninth grader Thea Salem picked up her first career caused turnover and successful double team at the defensive end. Every attacker on the Zebra squad got playing time today including strong minutes from Blake Dewing with a ground ball and ninth graders Lucy McGaraghan and Annika McNulty joining fellow ninth graders Curry, Bracken, and Pinney in the attack. Lucia Cook and Cate Glass provided leadership and poise to the youthful attacking group and Aidan Bell made several runs in the midfield to change Milton's momentum. Watson, McMurray, Taylor, and Ejiofor anchored by goalies Lev Lynch and Lily McTeague stayed steady in the defensive end despite the number of Milton offensive sets. Berardinelli and Athanasoulas combined with Curry and Bracken for Zebra goals.Â
