The Middlesex wrestling team traveled to Dedham Saturday for a tri-meet against Noble & Greenough School and Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall. The Zebras fell in a tough contest to Nobles, but prevailed with a dominant all-around performance over Chapel Hill.
Sophomore Harper Edwards and junior Fiona Fittante led the way, each going 2-0 on the day. Edwards earned a hard-fought decision against Nobles and followed up with a quick pin against Chapel Hill; Fittante picked up two come-from-behind wins by fall to pad her impressive total for the season. At 175 lbs sophomore Caleb Mitchell took a tie match late into the third period against Nobles, losing on a last-second takedown; however, he won convincingly in an exhibition contest. Sophomore Aidan Canty-Whitt and junior co-captain Marcus Douge also picked up quick pins against CHCH to round out a 54-12 scoreline over the Chargers.Â
Middlesex closes out the ISL dual meet schedule on Wednesday with a midweek tilt away to St. Mark's.
