The ISL Showcase was, again, a great day for ISL boys' soccer, as all 16 ISL teams traveled to the Massachusetts State facility in Lancaster for eight matches. Middlesex was the host in the 3:30p showdown with an organized, competitive, and indefatigable Tabor Academy team. Tabor was led by senior Julian Badger and junior Carter Estabrook, who combined searing pace and creativity to threaten the Middlesex goal on the counterattack throughout the match. Jackson Chase was the defensive standout for Tabor, along with some excellent play by both goalies, Synnestvedt and MacPherson. Middlesex's Teddy Fritzinger found the net late in the first half from a Bryan Mayhew assist. Sinjin Doelitzsch extended the lead to 2-0 in the second half, but Badger and Estabrook hit back inside the last 20 minutes to draw the game closer at 2-1. Bryan Mayhew provided the finishing touches with just over 10 minutes remaining for the 3-1 win. Competitiveness and sportsmanship were on display in equal measure and both teams provided the fans with a great game.
