Mother Nature forced Middlesex and Cushing up to the turf for a wet and competitive Wednesday Class B match-up in boys' soccer. The first half hour was back and forth with both teams finding chances to run at each other and test the backlines. Throughout the day, Cushing's Trevor Edmondson negated the home team's attacks and fellow juniors Jorge Estrelles Hernanz and Eduardo Marron Marquez were staunch defenders and skillful on the ball. Nathan Pimental was also a physical presence who constantly harassed and challenged the Middlesex defenders. First half goals were scored for Middlesex by Bear Tibbitt, Teddy Fritzinger, and Bryan Mayhew with assists credited to Olly Mylon, Aidan Falvey, and Jonah Zaas. Senior captain Teddy Fritzinger added a second goal via the penalty spot late in the second half to cap off the scoring. Standouts for Middlesex besides Fritzinger were juniors Zach Miles and Bear Tibbitt. Keeper Owen Crann picked up his second clean sheet of the young season.
