The Zebras and Red Wings of Rivers traded goals in the first two minutes of play, but that would be Rivers' last tally for the next 18 minutes of play. Middlesex took a 5-1 lead and the defensive unit shut down the Rivers' offense on many attempts. Rivers snuck in two late half goals to close the gap and the teams went into the second half with a 6-3 advantage for Middlesex. In the second half, the draw team took over and created many possessions for the Middlesex offense. Outscoring Rivers 8-2 in the second half, Middlesex dominated the play at both ends. The Zebras will face out of league powerhouse Dexter Southfield on Monday.
