Middlesex lost a 1-2 nailbitter to an undefeated Berwick Academy. The game remained scoreless throughout the first period as both teams put forth physical defense and impenetrable goaltending. Berwick broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the second period, but Middlesex fought back and netted a tying goal during the third period. The battle went back and forth as the period went on, and Middlesex had numerous scoring chances against Berwick, but the puck was not finding its way into the back of the net. Berwick broke the stalemate with a go-ahead goal and was able to sneak away with the win. Middlesex will face off against Worcester Academy in the first round of the 2023 William W. Barber, Jr. Memorial Tournament.
