In the first game, Middlesex Girls' Varsity Basketball played a strong Pingree Team and struggled to execute on offense. On day two, Middlesex regrouped and knocked off School of the Holy Child first. Shah got hot from the three point line, scoring 29 points, and the team played great defense. MX benefited from contributions from the bench, most notably Ripsteen and Green. The third game was a team effort against a gritty Greenwich Academy Team. In the first half, Middlesex led by as much as 11 points, but in the final minutes of the half, GA closed that gap to one point. Brown had some big rebounds. MX played hard in the second half. Donovan played every position on the court and hit her groove on offense, which earned her the title of player of the game. It would be remiss to not mention Blum's steady and consistent presence and effort throughout the tournament; Blum was also named player of the game honors against Pingree.
