Brooks traveled to Middlesex for a rainy Saturday matchup and brought incredible fighting spirit to an entertaining match. The best player on the field was the Brooks keeper Zach Amato, but young Latu Kayira proved to be quite a handful and always looked dangerous in cleaning up second balls and going to goal. Kayira launched a curling ball to the top corner in the second half that Middlesex keeper Owen Crann reached for a crucial touch wide. Amato made great saves from Bear Tibbitt and Jonah Zaas on set pieces and another stunning save from a well taken volley that was labeled for the net. Throughout the match, the energy to press and belief in the ranks was evident from Brooks. The game turned in the 70th minute when Jeffrey Hernandez stepped up to win a tackle in the midfield and quickly sprang Sinjin Doelitzsch into the channel. Doelitzsch curled an early ball just beyond the last defender to Teddy Fritzinger, who scored for the 1-0 lead. As Brooks continued to push forward and put pressure on the Middlesex net, Aidan Falvey played Olly Mylon into space in front of the net for the 2-0 lead. The game had a lot of passion and Amato, Kayira, and Tristan Warner were excellent for the Brooks side. Jonah Zaas and Bear Tibbitt stood out for Middlesex defensively, while Doelitzsch earned man-of-the-match honors on the home side.
