Middlesex journeyed to Weston to take on a potent Rivers attack and came out on the wrong side of a 3-2 result.  The game started quickly with Adam Prince scoring on a beautiful set piece strike to the top corner from 25 yards out for the 1-0 lead.  Middlesex struck back in quick succession, as Aidan Falvey hopped on a flicked ball in the box and then Teddy Fritzinger buried a ball in a pressing transition.  The rest of the half settled in to some even back and forth play until Gavin Hill beat the backline in a race and finished in the last minute of the half for a momentum swing and a 2-2 halftime score line.  The Rivers press and some uncharacteristic decisions and execution led to the winning goal for Rivers in the 71st minute, as Arthur Dos Santos buried a ball gifted at the top of the penalty area for the 3-2 lead.  Middlesex pressed on and played numerous balls into dangerous areas but simply could not find the tying goal.  It was a hard fought match between two dynamic teams in the top half of the ISL table.
