St. Sebastian's hosted Middlesex on their field under the lights for a Saturday night matchup. The rain was steady, but not too heavy, and the play on the turf was fast, which made for an exciting end-to-end game. In the first phase of the game, St. Sebastian's was on the attack, with Griffin Collins finding space and Jack Mulka proving a handful. The best chance of the first half fell to Mulka on the left side of the area, as he hammered a ball that caught the underside of the crossbar and bounced out. The game turned in the waning stage of the first half with an individual effort by Zach Miles to make the halftime score 1-0 to Middlesex. Less than two minutes into the second half, Aidan Falvey pressed on to a loose touch from a back and deposited the turnover quickly into an empty net for a 2-0 Middlesex lead. St. Sebastian's came forward in waves for the last 25 minutes, but Owen Crann was up to the task in the net. The Arrows scored a deserved goal in the 70th minute when Nick Adams found an unmarked Alex Perkins at the back post to bury a free header. The visitors defended well and launched attacks of their own in the last 10 minutes until the final whistle went. It was a high intensity and evenly played match between two teams who like to play on the front foot. Jacob Pichay, Mulka, and Perkins were excellent for St. Seb's, and Bryan Mayhew, Jonah Zaas, and Zach Miles stood out for Middlesex.
