Middlesex welcomed the Milton Academy Girls' Soccer team to Concord on the second night of an "Under the Lights" weekend. With the football team securing a win on Friday, the girls were determined to finish with the same result against the Mustangs. Although Chapel Field was still quite damp from the rainy weather, the atmosphere was electric as both teams battled hard from the get-go. The action was up and down the field during the first half, and Milton cashed in a scoring chance right at the end of the half to take the lead heading into halftime.

Not to be denied, MXGVS continued to push ahead, and their persistence paid off as Maya Lloyd '25 created her own opportunity and knotted the game at 1 with under 20 minutes to play. Unfortunately the tie was short lived, as mere minutes later Milton drew a penalty inside of the box, and put home the ensuing PK to once again take the lead. The Zebras battled hard until the final whistle, but were unable to close the gap. Final score: Middlesex 1, Milton 2.

Middlesex hits the road next week as they travel to Lawrence Academy in Groton to take on the Spartans. Game time is scheduled for 3pm.
