Middlesex welcomed Belmont Hill and Lexington Christian to the Zebras' home mat for a midweek tri-meet Wednesday. The home team, missing a few key starters, dropped both contests, but treated the fans in attendance to numerous thrilling matches and individual victories.

Sophomore Marcus Douge had arguably the strongest showing of the day; after almost earning the fall at the end of the second period against his Belmont Hill opponent, he secured a quick pin against LCA with some technical top work. Wrestling up a weight at 150 lbs, junior Ethan Yuan earned his first win of the season, also by pin fall, in this case off a reversal. Freshman Katherine Deng and sophomore Fiona Fittante took forfeits at 106 and 132 to account for the rest of the scoring, while freshman Caleb Mitchell and junior Maya Douge competed hard in close matches in which they nearly secured come-from-behind falls.

Middlesex next travels to St. Mark's School after the semester break for the final ISL contest of the season.
